Fibroid is also known as Myoma. Fibroid is a benign tumor arising from the mscle layer of the uterine wall. It is a common cause of menstrual problems, genrally, heavy bleeding. Fibroid may also interfere with conception and pregnancy.
More than Fibroid are present. Fibroids are suspected when there is heavy vaginal bleeding, abdominal cramps.
An unusually large Fibroid can show up as a fullness in the lower abdomen.
Fibroid treatmnet is surgical removal. Multiple Fibroids in women who have had their children may be best treated by a hysterectomy.
